Education and Skill Share Programs
The Sewist Society provides income opportunities and further education for home sewers. We have a line of products that will be made from fabric waste. We will provide educational videos and in person training for all members of The Sewist Society, training them to create these products, providing them with the materials, and paying a living wage. Part of raising awareness about sewing is through our pay structure. We believe all sewers deserve a living wage, that all humans do, and we can start showing that by paying an average of $15-$25 per hour depending on skill level.
Our first video, in our first video series - Compost Conversations with Ericka Leigh.
